Filoti, there is the Cave of Zeus. The cave has an area of 4.100 sqm and a length of 115 meters. Its interior area is particularly rich with impressive stalactites, stalagmites and rare stone clusters. Continue to the Za mountain (1004meters), an interesting hiking trail where the view to Naxos and the neighboring islands is magnificent. It’s essential to have good walking shoes and some hill- climbing experience. In Filoti is also the historical significance of the village Aria spring.

Sagri, there is the temple of Demeter that was built with the white marble of Naxos and was used as a template for the construction of the Parthenon a century later. The temple is dedicated to Demeter, the goddess of the grain, agriculture, and fertility.

Melanes, there is the largest Kouros of the island. A statue (6,4 meters), half-finished dating back to the 7th century BC. In the same village you will discover the ancient aqueduct called as the sanctuary of springs which has a key role in the rich vegetation of the place, the whole’s island culture and economy.

Apiranthos, the largest village of Naxos with unique architecture ( stone houses and marble-paved streets) with many historical museums such as Museum of Natural History, Geology Museum, Archaeological Museum, Folk Art Museum. A lovely place to spend an afternoon wandering.

Kynidaros, there you will find the unique mountain complex with the all-white variety of Naxos marble, which makes it unique, rare and classifies it in the museum of the world.
Mony, there is the Panagia Drosiani, a Byzantine monastery of the 4th century AD, which was fully discovered in 1970. A complex of 4 churches with crypts makes the monastery to be listed among the oldest monasteries in Balcans.
